Games History

OK, this time I’ll try to write in english. If you want to read it in Indonesian you need to use translate tool I provide on the right. I called it translate-o-matic. It’s pretty useful tool from Google (:
Maybe I got a few grammatical errors, so if you mind to correct it, tell me. I’d love to fix it.

First, I want to tell you there are two types of games, real life and video games. Real life games are games you play with most of your physical efforts. Say, sports, table-top games, etc.  Visual audio games (abbreviated Video games), thanks to its visual and audio efforts, to made special effects like animations and sound effects. The idea of video games is manipulating inputs from gamer to be calculated to output nice graphics and sounds. Because of that, you use less of physical efforts. PlayStations, Gameboys, PCs, phones and tablets, are some video games console/machine (the bridge over input and output).  Super Mario, Sonic, Street Fighter, Harvest Moon, even Tetris and Snake are popular ones.

Later, some real life games turned to be video games. It’s one of the market strategies to win over customers hearts. Examples: Monopoly, Snake and ladder, RPGs, etc. in video games, they add more rules and features to update it.

Beside the successful story about real life games hybrid, some of peoples didn’t like the side effects it made. The traditional games become rare. Playing them made less physical efforts. Before, you move your hands to roll dice, move your car, place your homes and hotels, take chance cards, pay taxes on traditional Monopoly. Its use most of your hand muscles. And now, you just need to click or tap it using less of muscles. You can play new Monopoly in almost every situations and poses. What gives? It’s reducing your physical movement.

These days, a new invention has been made: Playing video games on real life manners. Mostly, it’ll be sports ones. Late 90’s we have pistols to play… we have dancing mat to play DDR. And now, we have to move our controller as fast as athletes to play tennis on Nintendo Wii.

As technology advances, games will be adapted too. Ever heard about Sword Art Online? Yes, it just uses our thoughts to play games. I believe, that will be the next our inventions. Some technologies are just too wonderful to be played.
